Research

Research

From the start, I only had a logo to go off, so I knew a process of requirement gathering was required. After discussions with the client, I gained a much better understanding of who they were as a person and what the general direction of the website was going to take. At its core, the site should communicate to potential customers; Who the company is, what services they provide and how can they be contacted.

Design

Design

After my initial research, I began with generating a stylescape. This would be used as my own reference throughout designing the site, as well as a method of visualising the general design direction for the client. I knew from conversations the site needed to be playful with hand drawn elements, which I tried to incorporate throughout.

Additionally a requirement for mode switches was necessary, so a light and dark version needed to be created. Both versions needed to be visually consistent and accessible for visitors of the site.

Interations

Interations

I created a number of wireframes, specifically around the hero section. This was to provide options for the client but to also guide them through the possibilities. The client outlined a preference for a side menu, which I was able to incorporate. This was a key input as not only is the client getting their preference, this translates to mobile easier for a more consistent UX.

I arrived at a final concept which I believe was faithful to the clients requirements, meets technical requirements and most importantly dark mode (We love that!).

The site allow visitors to gain a better understanding of the questions outlined at the start of the project, who are creative juice, what services do they provide and how to get in touch.
